How To Give
Gladfelter Circle & Gladfelter Circle with Distinction

Originally established in 2001, the Gladfelter Circle pays tribute to Carl J. Gladfelter, Alpha-Tau 1933, who guided the Fraternity and the Trust through a period of vigorous growth during his four years as Grand Alpha and his fifteen-year tenure as National Director. This society recognizes those individuals dedicated to making a positive, lasting impact on our Brotherhood with a gift of $2,000 or more.
When joining the Gladfelter Circle, donors are making a commitment to support Chi Phi Brothers across the nation and play a vital role in our continued success.
Donors who generously support the Chi Phi Educational Trust with a fiscal year gift of $2,000 – $4,999 are recognized as Gladfelter Circle Donors and those that donate $5,000 or more in a fiscal year are recognized as a member of the Gladfelter Circle with Distinction.
The Men of 1824

The Men of 1824 is the Chi Phi Educational Trust’s giving society for undergraduates and young alumni (graduates within the last five years). Designed as an accessible entry point to lifelong philanthropy, this program empowers our youngest Brothers to begin making a meaningful impact on the future of the Fraternity.
With a minimum annual gift of $25, members of the Men of 1824 directly support scholarships, leadership development, and educational programming that shape the Chi Phi experience for Brothers across the country.
Men of 1824 members are recognized in the Educational Trust’s annual Donor Honor Roll and receive a custom-designed lapel pin as a symbol of their early commitment to giving back. More importantly, their participation reflects a shared belief in the value of investing in the next generation of Chi Phi leaders.

MacLean Legacy Society

As Chi Phi has had an impact on your life since college, so can your life have an impact on Chi Phi through a planned gift and members in our MacLean Legacy Society. Planned giving is the pathway for Brothers to take that ensures the continuous growth of the Chi Phi Educational Trust. A planned gift provides members the opportunity to make financial plans that include several options that are mutually beneficial.
Benefits of Planned Giving:
- Minimize gift and estate taxes
- Minimize or even eliminate capital gains tax
- Diversity assets without incurring capital gains tax
- Maximize charitable deductions
- Maximize effectiveness of your gift
